I'm just going to make a quick list of all the computer parts I'm going to buy for my computer which I'll build hopefully before the end of this month, so Rain (or indeed, you guys) can read over it and tell me what I'm doing wrong.

Processor: Intel® Core™ i7-2600K Processor - £234
SSD: Cosair 60GB Force Series F60 SSD - £106.73
HDD: 1 TB harddrive - £66.81

Keyboard: N/A
Mouse: N/A
Microphone: N/A
Speakers: Buying off a friend (£20)
Sound Card: (?)

Also; i'm buying most of these parts off the websites provided, if you find somewhere cheaper to buy the same parts, feel free to tell me in the comments.
Anything marked N/A means I haven't chosen one yet, anything marked with a question mark means that I have no clue if I'm even meant to buy one or which to go for.
HELL YEAH FREE GAME I'VE NEVER HEARD OF

2500K, seriously don't go for the i7. It's price doesn't justify the performance boost you get over the i5 because you're not ever going to use more than 50% of an i5 as it is.
As for the harddrive:

or
http://www.overclock.co.uk/product/Samsung-SpinPoint-F4-EcoGreen-2TB-SATA-3Gbs-32MB-Cache-OEM_34709.html
Cheaper and more reliable.
If you plan to overclock (and since you did have a K processor listed I assume you do) get a cpu cooler:

Don't forget cpu paste:

For SSD:
GET THIS DEAL FFS 400+mb read speed is less than 10 second startups D:!

Cheaper 8GB RAM:
http://www.overclock.co.uk/product/8GB-2x4GB-DDR3-PC3-10660-1333MHz-CL9-Dual-Channel-Memory-Kit-Lifetime-Warranty_36290.html
Motherboard is fine
Graphics card I prefer ATI/AMD because they use way less power, tend to overheat less. The lolnodrivers problem is non existant these days:
http://www.overclock.co.uk/product/Sapphire-2048MB-GDDR5-ATI-Radeon-HD6950-Dual-DVI-HDMI-Mini-DisplayPort-PCI-E-Retail_40023.html
Cheaper too, nearly same performance.
Soundcard is p nice if you have one:

Case in your style+cheaper than revious one:

For monitors just check the site. Just mae sure the resolution is at least fullHD and it's not some shitty vga screen. Either LED or TFT or something. preferably LED.
If you can't get it cheaper from a friend the DVD-drive:
http://www.overclock.co.uk/product/Samsung-SH-S223C-22x-SATA-Dual-Layer-DVD-Rewritable-Black-OEM_24600.html
hurrrr wireless card:
http://www.overclock.co.uk/product/TP-Link-150Mbps-Wireless-PCI-Express-Card-with-Detactable-Antenna_34421.html
Either steal any missing cables from an old desktop or buy the cheapest here:
http://www.overclock.co.uk/dept/Cables_29.html
38.99 1TB harddisk
163.99 2500k i5
23.40 cpu cooler
2.99 cpu paste
92.99 SSD
52.99 RAM
144.95 motherboard
20.00 Speakers
203.99 ATI card
23.40 sound card
82.84 case
10.00 DVD drive
15.00 wireless card
200.00 monitors
------
total: around 1075 quid.
You can skimp on a lot in theory. No/cheaper SSD(50 to a 100 quid less), cheaper GPU (single solution in stead of duo would mean around 100 quid less if youre lucky), no unlocked cpu (means no cpu cooler=in total 30 bucks less), cheapo internal sound card in motherboard (-23quid) It would be around 700 quid if you went barebones with duo monitors, around 600-550 with 1 cheapo monitor.
Hm, you left Power Supply out of your estimate. But yeah, i took into consideration all the things you suggested, not too sure about the case though? The last case I had was pro. But if you insist (You obviously know A LOT more than i do about hardware)
Re-estimated and i'm coming to 1122.18 for:
HDD, SSD, RAM, G. Card, S. Card, CD Drive, Wireless Card, Case, Speakers, Motherboard, Processor, Power Supply, Keyboard + Mouse. Still need to decide upon monitors, headset and anti-virus, then i'll be done.. i think?
http://www.overclock.co.uk/product/HKC-2212-216inch-LED-Widescreen-TFT-2ms-1920x1080-Multimedia-DVI-VGA_39953.html
Possible monitors?
Low-ass response time=good so sure. Also just get any case that fits your mobo. Just make sure everything fits. Graphics cards are like 39339feet long these days D: Also enough hd bays.
Also lol, antivirus. Just use common sense 2011 and Windows Essentials. Also, just pirate windows. Headset=shit, just get a proper set of headphones and a separate mic that isn't too expensive.
I still have a massive boner for this case:

I don't want to spend like £1400 on a computer and then reply on Common Sense 2011 :c
