EA is opening their conference with Song 2 by Blur. Odd choice of introductory song, but who cares. ONWARDS TO THE ANNOUNCEMENTS.

EMERGENCY BROADCAST, FLYING SHIT EVERYWHERE, SIGNAL LOSS. WTF ARE WE LOOKING AT. It is.. Mass Effect 3! And thus opens EA with a pretty sweet ass intro, in my opinion.  Soon enough a demo is shown showing some gameplay. Release on 03/06/2012.

Need for Speed: The Run, a new racing sequel makes you race all the way from one side to the other side of Murka. Players can walk outside of their cars. Demo is shown of driving in cars, getting run into by a car and fleeing  and fighting with timed button pressing through quicktime events (so far for actual gameplay on foot amirite?) 

Star Wars theme and Bioware shows up. Brags about Baldur’s Gate, Neverwinter Nights, Mass Effect, etc. Bragging about Star Wars: The Old Republic, etc.  “No convincing: Just play it.” Epic trailer incoming. . “For centuries there was peace” “For centuries we waited” Oh fuck yes.  Epic Sith vs. Jedi mass battles shown. DO WANT

Mountains, snow, mountains, more snow, snowboarder, snowboarders, different places to board, epic avalanche, helicopter, SSX.  Race it, Trick it and Survive it on every major mountain area in the world, being mapped by NASA. Release date: Jan 2012. 

New FIFA 12 being announced. Bragging about FIFA 11 with numbers, “The world’s game”. EA Sports comes up. More bragging about FIFA 12. New features, tactical defending with positioning, precision dribbling with more pace control, player impact engine with real-world physics. Soccer players and ‘lil Wayne bragging about and for FIFA.  Also, Footbal Club, a premium service for all EA Sports football games. Levels and bragging.

American Football trailer giving you an encouragement speech. Madden NFL 12 being announced by famous players with one-liners about victory and the game. New collision system, dynamic player performance.

The Sims Social, facebook game. Mocking Farmville and other agriculture games. Flirting slutting around on Facebook woop woop!

Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning, a huge open world where you make the choices. Design by the makers of Oblivion and Morrowind. Hundreds of hours of gameplay. BIG HUGE GAMES.  Lots of Fable-esque graphics going on here.  2012

Insomniac expanding to Xbox with Overstrike.  Four elite agents causing carnage in the near future. Pretty humorous action over the top gameplay. Looking forward to this.

Battlefield 3 shown with trailer. Live demo and new engine. Destroy all buildings, huge detailed landscapes, epic rendering, awesome audio in Frostbite 2’s performance upgrade.  Trailer is shown of a fight in the center of Paris.  Another social connection extra.
